BALDWIN AND GISELE

CHAPTER NINETY-ONE.

"Come in." Baldwin insteucted when he heard a knock on his office door. Because he knew who it was already, he closed the book he was scribbling things on and set aside. The door opened and Gisele, the servant girl who didn't serve the poison, walked into the office with an unsure look on her face. She looked frightened.

"Good day to you Beta Baldwin." She greeted him respectfully. Baldwin simply nodded his head and gestured to her to take the seat across from him. Hesitantly, she did and soon, they were facing each other.

"Your name is Gisele, right?" He asked carefully.

"Yes. I'm Gisele."

"How did you get close to Tegan?" He asked with creased brows.

Since the silver incident, he had been trying to understand how Tegan got so close and comfortable with a maid to the extent where she trusted that maid enough to send her on such a dangerous mission without any fear that she could get ratted out.

Gisele clammed her sweaty hands together and played with her fingers.
