Chapter 36

Evelyn walked casually towards the shop she used to go to, a few minutes later she arrived safely at the shop. Then Evelyn immediately bought the item that Jessi had noted on her cellphone. It didn't take long for Evelyn to finish her shopping activities.

"Here's the money," said Evelyn, handing some bills to the cashier.

"Buy groceries now, usually on weekends," said the merchant.

Evelyn smiled faintly, scratched her head that didn't itch, and then replied, "Yes. Since the groceries are running out, I'd rather buy them instead."

"Yes. You're right, then be careful. on the way."

"Okay. I'll go the first uncle, bye!"

Evelyn walked briskly back to the cafe, through a fairly quiet street. Evelyn did choose to go that way because it was quicker and closer. But the street was very quiet, only a few people were passing by.

Evelyn tried to get up the courage to walk through the street, even though it was still daytime. But th
