I didn’t need to question Hunter, I was a little curious myself. Would I still look like I always had? Would I be able to still see Alexia in me? Even if she technically was me, I could never forget the connection I had with Alexia.

Real or not, she was as real to me as anything else. She had been my only friend for most of my life. To think she was never really there disturbed me mildly. In one graceful motion, I was once again back in my wolf form. It definitely felt different this time.

Instead of feeling like I was just a passenger in Alexia when I shifted, I truly felt like a wolf. I could feel the wind flowing through my fur and sending light tingles over my flesh. I could feel the ground under my paws and the fine blades of grass being flattened under me.

I had always loved shifting into Alexia and letting her run free, this was so much better though. Now I felt like I was free and my human flesh was merely a cage I had been trapped in.
