Karah was waiting for me outside the bakery, her watchful eyes roaming the surrounding. She was really committed to doing her assignment. I guess she was that loyal to her Alpha.

“Here, have some of this.” I said, stretching a wrapped sandwich to her. “This is the best in the territory.”

“Thank you Luna.” She replied with a bow and collected it from me. “Are you ready to go?”

“Yes, let’s go.”

I got in next to her and she looked at me again and sighed.

“I’m okay sitting here, I don’t have to sit at the back seat.”

“It’s safer at the back.”

“I’m safe enough karah, let’s go.”

As she drove back to the pack house, my mind wandered. I thought hard about Greta’s reason for sneaking out of the pack house to go to the city.
