THE FIGHT

As the group of shadowy figures emerged from the forest, Luna's heart raced. She grasped her weapon hard, bracing herself for the worst. She could tell that they were humanoid in shape as they got closer, but their features were obscured by the darkness that enveloped them. Luna could tell they weren't human since their eyes blazed with an unearthly light.

"Stay close to me," Phillip murmured. "We'll have to fight our way through."

Luna nodded; her gaze fixed on the approaching people. As they closed in, she could hear their ragged breaths and sense their malicious energy.

Then, without sudden, the figures surged forward at breakneck speed. Luna and Phillip battled side by side, their swords blazing in the dark.
