I was scared now for Beta Abbadon. I watched on anxiously as he fought with Beta Warg. I was not scared about the outcome of his fight with Beta Warg - it was still non-lethal combat. I was rather scared of his ambition.

I knew he could win and it was looking certain like he would win. If he did win, would he call it quits or would he let his ambition drive him as far as challenging the Alpha?

I was scared for my sake too. Abbadon and I had plans to get married today. Whatever fate befell him would also befall me too. I had been told stories of 4 Prime Beta's who had dared to challenge Alpha Merrick on 4 different occasions.
