It was the law from the elders to put to death any rogues but like Syrus, Floyd was not willing to let his mate die.

He went against their orders so he was no longer a candidate for the Vanclavik seat at the council. It Should have been the same with Syrus but the pressure from Tatiana's family threatened division amongst the elders,so they let him be.
