I watched how Ana walked out of the room and I felt a lump hanging in my throat. Due to uneasiness, I gulped down my spit.

I began to think of what her condition would be. I am a witch, yes, but I could use just two elements while she has a strong wolf whose strength was beyond comprehending.

Likewise, I couldn't help but feel this uneasiness taking over my body wholly.

“Are you out of your mind? Do you know you could die?” Conri sparked at me, but I wasn't moved. I had already groomed myself properly on the inside and was prepared for the fight.

I saw his worry and also how he tried to defend me earlier. I appreciate it, but pitying me won't solve this issue.

Already both of us knew Ana hated me more than anything else, if she had a chance to stick her claws in my throat then she would have done that ages ago.
