Chapter 18

Lucas's POV:

My heart raced wildly in fear as the forensic analyst dropped the bombshell. It took two weeks to get the results from the bracelet because in the course of the last two weeks, three successive murder has occurred and all the evidence gotten from the crime scene does not match anyone's fingerprint. It was as if the mysterious creature does not exist or he/she is pretty good at covering their tracks.

But now that a fingerprint has been tied to Matilda, I became apprehensive. I haven't spoken with Matilda since the pay incident that occurred in her house and damn, I missed her like crazy. I stood up and quickly whispered to my dad's ear, taking permission to leave the meeting. With a nod of his head, I turned around and walked out of the meeting arena, ignoring the stares from the pack members.

I drove to the forensic laboratory with a grim expression on my face, my palm was sweaty as I gripped the steering firmly, and anxiety churned in my gut.

"What is the update," I asked
