Chapter 12

It was the next day and time for the meeting. Scarlett, who had woken up a long time ago, was all dressed up and ready. She had prepared faster than every other person and decided to go check up on the king to be certain he didn't need any assistance.

She knocked, and his voice ushered her in.

Going in, she met him eating. She bowed her head to greet him, after shutting the door when she had entered.

‘’Good morning, My King’’. She said with her head bowed.

He didn't respond. She lifted her head to see him dipping a fork full of Alfredo pasta into his mouth. Chewing it elegantly, he dropped the cutlery back on the plate, dabbing the napkin against his nice succulent lips.

He had a robe on, but Scarlett could see he was wearing something like a polo inside too. He wasn’t completely naked like she thought he would be when she got in.

Just like yesterday inside the car, the atmosphere was tense as hell. He still wasn't looking up to her face.

‘’Is there a problem? I didn’t send for you’’
