CHAPTER 48

I was having a splitting headache and I had spots dancing in my vision as I regained my consciousness. People were speaking around me but I couldn't figure out what they were saying. I tried to move and then I realized that my hand was bound. I tried to move my legs too and it was still the same. I opened my eyes slowly and I looked around. I was in a basement...or cave. It had little light and I was laying on a flat surface. My throat was dry and my neck felt sore.

"She's awake" I heard a male voice say. He was unrecognizable and I heard other footsteps draw nearer. A stinging pain spread on my face from a harsh slap before I got to see the new addition.

"I told you, you were going to pay. That it wasn't over" I recognized the voice immediately.

"Palesa?"

"It should have been Luna Palesa to you" she roared angrily.

"I have been bidding my time, waiting for the right moment until I'll be chosen as his mate. It was going well. He was going to choose me, but then you came in from now
