"Elizabeth! Hey!"

I heard Nikita's voice from afar while I was getting water from the well. When I looked at her, she was running towards me. My eyebrows furrowed when I saw that she was with Diego who was smoldering while his hands were on his pockets.

I sighed and remembered that she left me with Prince Ronald on the day my mother died. But I have the knowledge that she just went away and did not believe in me since I am gravely accusing a prince.

And of course she would be tentative to believe in me because I am her best friend. I understood it in the end. I am afraid that she'll be killed if I try to push the truth through.

"There you are!" she said worriedly and held my shoulders. "My father said that I should visit you because you are mourning about your mother's death."

I smiled weakly. "Thank you, Nikita," I said. "I am fine."

"Oh, goodness. I am very sorry!"
