Nikita's Hatred Towards Elizabeth

The doubt was in her eyes as I told her that I don’t want to lose her. It is true, though, and for now, I don’t want to confuse her very much when she is in this situation. Before she could even respond to what I said, I preceded her in speaking up.

“Are you hungry? Do you want food?” I asked abruptly.

She parted her lips, wanting to answer my simple question, but before she could answer, we both looked at her stomach that groaned loudly. I furrowed my eyebrows and concluded that she had not eaten anything. She looked up with her bright and beautiful emerald eyes, looking so innocent with the reflection of the flames from the torches of the hallways in the dungeons.

“The guards only give me bread once a day, and I don’t think it is enough,” she said and gulped, her tone small and innocent, like she was embarrassed that she did not eat.

I shook my head and stood up. “Don’t worry. I will bring you food here,” I said.

“How?”

“I’ll find something you can eat.”
