Jade's pov

I paused and raised my gaze up from the glass to the maid who offered it to me.

"who are you?" I inquired. I examined her from head to toe. I may have a lot of maids but I could surely identify their faces with just sparing a glimpse at them.

But I was certain that I hadn't seen this one before

"she's one of our maids." Diane intercepted.

I didn't so much trust her anymore, ever since ash told me about her affairs with Edward, I just had to be cautious of her.

"I have never seen her before, and that's why I request to know who she is?" I asked in a rather stern tune.

"I..i am." she stuttered as I frowned at her, anticipating for her response.

"she is the new maid." Diane cuts in, her expressions were rather nervous, as I spared a suspicious glance at her.

"hmmm!" I hum, taking a survey at the maid.

"when did you come here? what are your reasons for working in the royal palace?" I asked.
