CHAPTER 99: LOST.

For someone guilty, his stretched hand was firmly reaching for the cover over Lana's face.

Without hesitation, she withdrew, throwing a feisty punch at it. Scott got irritated and braced himself, kicking without mercy. She dodged, returning the punch.

He growled, targeting and slashing her sleeves. It left a deep claw mark there, but that wasn't satisfactory for him. He went lower, punching her stomach.

She fell to the flow, grunting while clasping her stomach. He crossed a leg over her agonized body, still reaching for her face.

Just when all seemed lost, Lana heard the sound of improved yells and aggressive shooting. Sounded like reinforcement. Scott was also akin to knowing what was happening, giving her room to turn the tide of the battle.

She kicked his heels, causing him to kneel. She got up, her strength renewed. Reinforcement had arrived. Not much, but enough to give her room to escape with others.
