Trixie POVI headed down the hall and into the office and knocked on Mrs. Rogers door. “Come in!” Her voice rang out to me. I opened the door and stepped in. “Hi, I am Trixie and, on my schedule, it asks me to come to you to get this block filled in?” I introduce myself to the school’s new counselor and tell her why I am here. She smiles and nods at me, “Yes, Come on over and have a seat and let me see that schedule of yours.” She tells me. I stepped up to the chairs in front of the desk and sat down, handing out my schedule for her to take a look. She looks at the paper for a few moments and looked back up to me. “I am afraid dear I only have one class with open enrollment for this period still, but it is a good one.” She smiled towards the end of her sentence and leaned it like she was telling me a secret. She paused waiting on me, I guess. “Well, what is it?” I asked her afraid I would be stuck in some advanced placement class or another hard class. “I am glad you asked.” She began
By the time I made it to the front of the school, Abby, Janet and Jerica were all already there waiting on me right inside the doors. I smile, thinking how lucky I am to start my senior year with such good friends and . . . boyfriend? Trevor and I hadn’t put a label on anything but in my head, I guess it made sense for me to want to refer to him as my boyfriend. “Hey Seniors!” I taunted them as I walked up. “Hey Trevor girl!” Abby teased me but it only made me smile bigger. I liked the sound of that.“Alright, alright!” Janet hushed us, “So, you are for sure going to lunch with Trevor and he is going to bring you to the store to met us after so we can all shop supplies together?” I nodded at her. “He should be waiting for us by Abby’s car already.” I told them. She nodded. Jerica peered out the door and smiled. “Yeah, I can see his SUV down there.” She turned back and looked at me. “What are we waiting on, let’s go! I am starving!” I tell them smiling knowing I was hungry but I wanted
Trevor’s POVWe pulled in at the store to meet Trixie’s friends for some school shopping. I had already asked her if I could shop with her and her friends and she didn’t seem to mind. I also mind linked Jake to tag along too so that I wasn’t the only male, plus he seemed to have an unspoken thing with Jerica and both seemed to be pretty stubborn about admitting it. I almost believe that he is her mate and he just hasn’t told her. I mean I get it but they are both wolfs and he would be able to tell her easily without the implications of explain our whole existence to her unlike me and my mate. She was lovely and I couldn’t help but what to be near her all the time. She jumps out of her side before I get a chance to go around and open her door. We parked right behind her friend Abby’s car. They all got together and were pulling out their list from classes today. Luckily, we were able to use magic and get them to hire my parents as staff at the school. My mom was a guidance counselor now
Jake’s POVI stood there as Abby drove away my mate and her friends to their houses with Alpha Trevor feeling someone proud that the cashier took my money over Jerica’s. I had won that battle. Jerica was so independent, I loved that about her but it was becoming frustrating too. She wanted me around but never wanted me to treat her like a girlfriend, eventually she would understand and quit fighting me so much. I looked over at Trevor who had a goofy grin on his face.“I figured it out.” He said crossing his arms over his chest and leaned back against his SUV. “What? Figured what out?” I asked him confused at where he was coming from. “I figured out your deal.” He said cockily. “My deal?” I asked confused even more. “Jerica is your mate and you have known for years but you haven’t told her, otherwise she wouldn’t resist being with you.” He spat out. Shit. He did know what my deal was. My stomach dropped. I swallowed hard. “Look, I know you can understand my situation. I haven’t told h
Trixie POV It was a glorious Friday morning; I woke up in a great mood with the sun shining bright and a warm breeze coming through my window. I hopped out of bed and took a quick shower and got ready for school. I bounced downstairs to find both my parents had already gone to work. I shot Abby a quick text. Hey! I am ready whenever you get here! – Trixie I hit send and checked my backpack for the essay I had to write on my leadership quote and what it meant to me. I totally saw that one coming. It only had to be three paragraphs, but I ended up cranking out about five. I feel like it was going to be an easy A; and it turns out the leadership and development class was quickly becoming my favorite one over the last week. DING! My phone went off. Here! – Abby I zipped it up and ran out to the driveway and jumped in the passenger seat. It was just Abby and myself today. Janet had an appointment with a fashion school for an interview for a work study program interning at a local fash
Jerica’s POVI rush off to class before Abby and Trixie can question me further about why I rode to school with Jake. We had been at Alpha’s since five am brainstorming on how we were going to celebrate Trixie’s birthday in three week all while trying to get her in our territory for when she shifts and keep her safe and talk her into officially joining our pack. Alpha was getting more impatient by the day but was willing to wait until her first shift. Jake and his brother and my dad thought we should tell her now so she can prepare herself for what is coming. I agreed with Trevor. She needed this little bit of time left to enjoy a somewhat normal life that she thought she was living out in her head. I know all to well the responsibilities that are going to be put on her as Luna. As the Betas daughter I saw it with my mother and father.Trevor’s vote is final though as Alpha, he gave it as an order so that no one could disobey him. He also ordered us not to talk about it with anyone o
Jerica’s POVI finished the school day managing to avoid the girls. I texted Ryan and Sadie which were two other wolfs from our pack that Alpha Trevor had order to go to school here and keep an eye on Trixie and protect her if any harm came her way. As well as our old pack Alpha and Luna which were Trevor’s parents. He made Trixie take a leadership development class that was taught by his dad.Part of the plan for trying to prepare her is getting her to open up to the idea that werewolf’s and other creatures that were made of folk lore and fairy tales to her might be real and co-exist in her world. To do that we are having to get an English teacher to head the book club for school, get her to be engaged in it and have a werewolf book assigned to read within it. Plus getting enough students involved, but on the upside I would do it. I could get Ryan and Sadie to do it and then maybe a few other’s would show up as well to make it more of a group.Ryan&Sadie I need to meet and talk about
Trixie POV*The next day 4th period*I entered my leadership and development class which was becoming one of my favorites recently and took a seat next to the same boy and girl that I had been in my math class and talking weird the first day. I overheard them talking. “I think this would be so cool!” I heard the girl say. “I mean I haven’t bought in yet but Ill read the first book and give it a try.” I glanced over and then back down on my desk there were flyers about a book club meeting after school today and once a week. This month’s theme was Legends and Love. I wonder what that means? “Hey! Are you going to come too!?” The girl asked out loud. I looked up to realize she was asking me. “Uhmmm .. . “ I shrugged my shoulders, “I am not sure.” She nodded. “I heard it was extra credit if you did!” She said with a smile. I didn’t really need extra credit, but it couldn’t hurt. “That’s right!” Our teacher spoke up, “Anyone who attends through the end of this month will get extra credit f
