Zillon's heart was like a feather in his chest as he approached who he had been craving to see, to touch for months. Her eyes were still as bright as ever, the blue prettier than the ones that coloured the oceans and the sky. Her hair was just like he remembered it; blond and long and utterly beautiful... Her lips too were still as perfect as the very first time he laid eyes on them...
Everything about her was flawless, she hadn't changed a bit, she was still the same beautiful Celeste who was gifted to him by the goddess herself. She was the girl he loved, the only one for him.He was so happy to have found her, he might've went on rampage, he might've killed people who were probably dear to her, but she was Celeste, she'd forgive him, she'd always forgive him...Caging her against the wall, he looked down at her beauty, honestly lost in it. Her scent though tainted by Xavier's was still the best thing his nose had ever scented in his life. He brushed herCeleste wasn't sure if she was suppose to feel guilty or victorious. Zillon was now going through all the pain she had previously felt, but Liam's words kept rolling around her head.He said something about Zillon enduring enough, but had Zillon yet to endure all that she had?Had he yet to feel all the pain and sufferings she had to bear...all the heart ache, the unpleasant desperation and the unrequited love? She was sure he hadn't and even if he had, she wouldn't care... She had moved on and he needed to do the same...Sighing, she took a seat on the edge of her bed, it was still night and she still hadn't gotten any sleep...she kept thinking back to the awful occurings that took place only hours ago, the blood, the unfortunate deaths, and Xavier. She wondered if he had woken up yet, she wondered if he was okay... That poor man, he had been so confident that Zillon would never be able to find them even if he tried...That nigh
"What? Are you really taking her to see that traitorous bastard? Lock her back in her room, we had lost enough because of that fool, do you want to lose her too?"Zillon shook his head. "I know that, it's just tha—""Lock her back into her f*cking room, don't go soft because of her... isn't she the one you said you'd protect?""Yes bu—"Liam took the keys from his pocket, throwing it to Zillon. "If you insist on going, then do...hurt yourself even more, but I don't want to be there to watch."Zillon caught the keys, gritting his teeth as he walked towards the front door. He understood Liam's worry, he really did, but what could he do?Celeste wished to see him and on top of that, the claims against his brother weren't yet confirmed. They hadn't interrogated him yet and mom and dad...They were incessant on seeing him first. After all, it's been almost 10 years since they've seen their long lost son. They probably felt ov
"Look at him, the f*cking idiot can't even move and you know why? It's because of you and his lousy brother. He loves you more than he does his own self, he knew that bringing you down here would cause him pain and he still did and yet in front of him, you're asking another man to kiss you? If he truly loved you, it wouldn't have been this bad, but Xavier is just using you...""W-What?" Celeste's eyes zoomed in on Zillon who was stooped against the floor, hanging to his chest as though his life depended on it. His face was buried against the wall and even from here, Celeste could see how tight his jaws were gritted. "W-What do you mean?" She asked, the matebond tying knot around her heart. Was he really that pitiful because of her?Did he really lov—?Celeste shook her head, looking away from him and to Liam with a frightened look. "I don't understand, I don't k—""You see that pain his brother is now enduring? That's what Xavier wants to
"You'll regret this Xavier.""I don't see a real reason to...this is all I've wanted since the day I left, why would I regret an accomplishment?""Because we're brothers, how can you do this to a brother? I was older Xavier, the alpha tilte was automatically passed down to me because of that.""And that didn't stop me from wanting it...""But it's not my fault you couldn't have it. If you wanted it so much, can you blame me for wanting it too? We both were alpha's Xavier, I understand how damaged your pride must be, but don't stoop so low, you're hurting her... I'm not the only one who'll feel pain in the end, she'll be in pain too."Xavier shrugged, folding his legs. "Wouldn't that make me feel even better?"All the hope that was splattered in Zillon's eyes evaporated and a look of disgust took it's place. He was done trying to convince Xavier now, he was too stubborn and determined. "Okay, I guess it doesn't make sense I try...
Zillon stepped inside of his house, wearing the gold bracelet Celeste had gotten him around his wrist. He had taken it off a while ago because everytime he looked at it, it made him more anxious to find her, but now that he'd found her, it felt like it belonged around his wrist. It was suppose to be a gift that marked forever and yet just after he received it, Celeste and him were torn apart...how tragic...Sighing, he pocketed his hands, stepping into the living room where Fredd and Liam sat, watching the television. He snorted, grabbing their attention immediately. "You're back, I see."Zillon nodded at Liam. "Yes...you guys can take your leave now.""But y—""I'm okay, the pain's gone now and I don't think it'll be back anytime soon...I want to be alone...I wish to speak to her...I want to get this off my chest...I don't care if she'll believe or not, I want her back...it's too painful to not have her on my side.""T
*FLASHBACK* *CEREMONY NIGHT*Zillon sat beside Fredd and Liam on the steps of the podium where the ceremony would be held, hands under his chin as he looked about in wonder. "Ten years Liam, ten years and the first time I saw him, he was flirting with my mate. Is this a curse or a blessing? I found him and yet he again wants to take something valuable away from me.""How would he be able to take Celeste away from you? The ceremony is tonight...you guys are going mark each other again and then f*ck like bunnies after, how will Xavier be able to break apart a matebond so strong anyway?""I know it isn't possible, but can a man not worry? I'm basically getting married.""Married? Do you think you're a human?" Fredd interjected.Zillon chuckled. "I'm not, but isn't it the same thing, I was going to buy her a ring, but I saw this instead." He pulled the gold bracelet from his pocket, staring down at it in awe. "And isn't it ironic that she bou
"That's the worst lie a liar could tell, Celia and I aren't identical twins, our scents are alike, but they are different...do you think I'm a fool?""Think about it, Celeste...you said the night Xavier came into this house you couldn't scent him and I couldn't scent Celia's scent either. We don't know what they used to hide their scents, but don't you think it's the same thing?""I don't care if it's the same thing, Celia could've gotten it through different means...Xavier says it's something he bought a long time ago from a pack he came across.""And did it not once occur to you that he could be lying?""Xavier would never lie to me, especially about that. What reason would he have to?""Celeste, you're talking straight pass the point, he's using you and you're not seeing it. I spoke to him after you left, I know what he's up to, why won't you believe me? Have I ever lied to you before?"Celeste nodded, her eyes floating away f
Nothing but pain and emptiness that's all Zillon could feel. His body felt crippled, even his tongue felt heavy and no matter how much of the pain he endured, it kept coming.Doubled...Trippled....He could barely hold on, but what gripped him was Celeste...the sad look on her face, the tears in her eyes and how broken she sounded when she kept screaming for him to accept it.He knew she didn't want him to die, but without her trust and her love, what would he be living for?Zillon thought of his pack, but he really couldn't lead them without Celeste, she was the only person who could keep him sane, he didn't think anybody could replace her...She was too unique, too special, too precious... He hated the fact that he'd be leaving her, but he found it hard to live, hard to breathe when the thought of her not being apart of his future ran across his mind.So he wouldn't accept this rejection, despite knowing that it'll ki
