In the end Lewis decided to take me on a date and not the other way round. He said it was his duty as a man to take his woman on dates. Even though I disagreed, I let him lead the way and I think I did the right thing.

The place he took me to was beautiful. It was a private land surrounded by tall trees. There was a small lake and a fancy cabin a few meters away. The greenery was breathtaking.

Lewis led me to an open area near the lake where he had set up a picnic. There was a mat and a small gray blanket with a basket that carried the food we would eat. There was a huge light brown teddy bear with some pillows to support our backs.

My heart swelled with sweetness. No one had ever done such for me… It was so romantic. I couldn't help but feel my eyes sting.

"Do you like it?" I heard Lewis say and I nodded a yes. It was beautiful.
