After much contemplation, I realized that the only way to get to the bottom of things was to befriend Jason and try to uncover any hidden motives or secrets he might be keeping. It wasn't an easy decision to make, but I knew it was necessary for the safety and stability of our pack.

I started spending more time with Jason, trying to get to know him better and understand his perspective. It wasn't easy, considering our past interactions had been tense at best, but I persevered.

I succeeded in making a truce with him in which he reluctantly agreed.

One afternoon, I found Jason sitting alone by the lake, staring into the distance. I took a deep breath and approached him cautiously.

"Hey, mind if I sit?" I asked, gesturing to the spot next to him.

He shrugged, "Suit yourself."

I sat down next to him and we sat in silence for a few minutes. The tension was palpable, but I refused to let it deter me.

"So, how are you?" I asked, trying to make small talk.
