I lifted the keys in my hand and jingled them with a sarcastic look on my face. I was too tired for this. “Relax, Deuce Bigalow. I have my own key.”

He let out a low snarl, and that was when I realized he was a werewolf. His scent was weak, but now that he was getting annoyed I could feel some of his aura. “Stolen keys?”

“Nope,” I gave him my fakest, sweetest smile. “Rodger handed them to me last night. Ask him yourself if you don’t believe me. I’m going to bed.”

“No you’re not,” he sidestepped to block my path, pressing his hand against my door frame like a dick. “Not until Rodger gets here to confirm this himself.”

“Call him then, dickwad. Quit being an ass to me. I’m just trying to go to bed.”

“At this hour,” he scoffed. “No. Your psycho ass definitely broke in. It’s all an act, sweetheart. If you came for a real life boyfriend experience, you’re not going to get out. I don’t do commitment and I sure as shit am not going to sleep with a stalker who steals keys to get in and harass
