Miles POV

Ever since last night, there has been this weird throbbing pain against my neck and this anxiety building in my chest.

“It’s HIM,” Ivar stressed to me once again. “We need to bring him home.”

“Yeah. If it were that easy we would have done it years ago.”

“Everything okay, Alpha?” Emily asked, sitting at the secretary's desk outside of mine and Dez’s office. She’s my Beta’s mate, and filling in at the office while we sort out all the staff changes now that the new ranks taken over leadership. Without a Luna, and my mom busy taking care of pops, Emily is the next highest female and is doing her best to wrangle the new staffing.
