After I had showered earlier I reapplied makeup to the mark but as I began to sweat and Damien's hand rubbed against the area, I was worried that it would get smudged. The chandelier that hung on the ceiling started shaking, and the crystals fell one by one and bounced against the marble floors. ”Babe,” Sam grabbed my arm, smoke formed around his fingers and he yanked it back. ”You fucked her.” The paintings on the walls, the curtains that hang from the high ceiling, and the lamps on the walls all started shaking. ”Stop, please. I couldn't tell whether that had been a memory or a dream but when I woke up I felt happy. Smoothing was slowly starting to fill me with warm light and something that told me things would be okay.
