Chapter 15

Going straight to the kitchen I search the cabinets for baking utensils and supplies it's stocked pretty well.

I gotta remember to thank Alpha Chris. Gathering everything I need I started making pies. All kinds of pies are a habit I picked up when baking with my mom when I was smaller. I usually do it when I'm stressed or need to think.

The different aromas fill the air Apple pie, blueberry pie, cherry pie, a peach cobbler, and a  chocolate and red velvet cake, and my all-time favorite and secret weapon is my triple layer Hersheys chocolate cake.

Licking my thumb to taste the frosting I hear a knock on the door. Wiping my hands on my apron and looking at the clock it's just after nine and the sun has set.

Opening the door I'm shocked to see beta Franklin there hello I greet he smiles and replies good evening Luna.

I try not to look affronted Lynette will be just fine I say, opening the door a little wider asking would you like to come in.
