I arrived at Mia's place to see it upturned with no sign of her. I listened attentively until I heard the sound of rustling and followed it.

I burst out in a room I didn't know existed in the house. I leaned against the door frame and stared at Mia who seemed not to notice my presence.

I waited for a minute before I spoke up. "You suddenly took off. Is everything alright?"

Only then did she stop and look up at me. She returned to her work the very next second without saying a word to me.

I sighed and walked into the room fully. I glanced around it and noticed it was even dirtier than the other rooms.

She had dumped some of her things on the floor, probably in search of something. I didn't want to disturb her, so I bent and helped her clean up the room.

"You didn't have to help me clean up." She said the moment I finished.

I glanced up at her with a scoff. "What a perfect time you chose to stop me."
