In an instant, the hall went silent.

Whitney's expression was extremely unpleasant.

She did not expect Sebastian to be this staunch and merciless.

Even though she was pleading with him, he refused to back down.

"Must you be so heartless, Sebastian?" Whitney asked.

Sebastian snorted before retorting with a piercing gaze, "Let me ask you this, Ms. Sutton. If I had failed to save Mr. Whitaker Senior today, and Fergus seized the chance to ruin me, would you be pleading for mercy on my behalf too?"

"I …" Whitney could not answer. Her eyes flickered.

Sebastian laughed mockingly before saying, "Don't bother answering. Your hesitation tells me everything I need to know. So, why should I let Fergus off the hook?"

Frowning, Whitney had more to say, but Sebastian walked up to Fergus and looked down at him. Then, he raised his feet and said coldly, "My shoe's dirty, Mr. Cobb. Please lick it clean for me."
