Mike finally understood what was going on. Unexpectedly, he wasn't angry at all. Instead, he sounded very excited as he said, "Janet, it's an honor to be Dr. Ballard's maid."

Janet rolled her eyes at him.

Sebastian did not linger. He told Mike to arrange for a driver to drive him back to Steinberg.

In the living room of the Connollys' villa in the mountains, Mike asked Janet meaningfully, "Janet, what do you think about Dr. Ballard?"

"He's very capable and very mysterious," she answered without hesitating.

Mike nodded and said, "I feel the same way. Since you've promised to be his maid for three months, you should set off for Steinberg tomorrow. Apart from that, I want to advise you to take those three months as an opportunity."

Janet was confused. She asked rather uncomprehendingly, "Dad, what do you mean by that? What kind of opportunity are you talking about?"

"Sleep with Dr. Ballard and make him my son-in-law, obviously!" Mike answered.

Janet jolted with shock and asked in
