Chapter 35.5- Unrest

Grayson had known the girl would be an inconvenience, but he hadn’t expected her to be so persistent, trample over the clear boundaries he’d established, and literally ambush him. At first, he had barely noticed her chasing him down the hallway, before she threw herself at him. She’d embarrassed herself yet again, clearly not getting the message he would let her know when he had use of her and the services he’d hired her for.

Leave it to bleeding heart Leo to get himself involved. Even though the two of them had been friends since they were barely out of diapers, Leo intervened when he thought a great social injustice was occurring. That was the way the chef had always rolled, a humanitarian, and it seemed his friend had found himself a new cause to take up, perhaps a new distraction since the end of his engagement. He had asked him to keep an eye on the girl after all. Now it seemed that was backfiring, and Leo was getting a bit too close for comfort.
