CHAPTER TWENTY

Lisa walked into the office, her mind still swirling with thoughts about what she had witnessed earlier. She couldn't shake off the image from her mind, but she knew she had to focus on her work. Taking a deep breath, she tried to push the troubling thoughts aside and concentrate on the tasks at hand.

Meanwhile, George had planned to drop Catherine off at her apartment before heading to work.

“Catherine I will drop you at home now and leave for the office.” He said calmly

“No George I can’t stay at home alone, I want to go with you.” She said pouting her lips

“There’s no way you are going to work with me, Catherine.” He said trying not to get angry.

“Why will you say so, George? You know how pregnancy can be and you got me pregnant, now you can’t take care of me.” She said tears welling in her eyes

George was caught off guard by Catherine’s emotional outburst, and George hesitated. He knew that going to work with Catherine would disrupt his routine, but he also didn't want to leave
