35 - Secrets unveiled

"Ah, hello, Dad," Jairus greeted his father with a warm smile.

"How are you, my son?" His father's voice was affectionate and filled with love.

"I'm doing okay. And how are you holding up?" Jairus inquired.

Mr. Ezekiel sighed, a hint of humor in his voice. "Ah, just trying to stay sane living with this difficult woman."

Jairus chuckled; his father's sense of humor remained as sharp as ever. "Is she getting on your nerves again?"

"More than ever. She's quite demanding when it comes to affection. But you know, son, I can't deny her that," Mr. Michael replied with a sigh.

Mr. Michael was still patiently waiting for his first wife, Remora Ezekiel, even though he knew she hadn't passed away but had chosen to remain in hiding. There must be a compelling reason for her to leave her loving husband and only son. He often wondered why he continued to tolerate his ex-wife as his current spouse, perhaps because she was the mother of his second son.
