Chapter 26: Not Like Him

Faith’s P.O.V

I looked around the deserted hallways, trying to find something…anything that I could use to help break up the fight.

My eyes landed on the fire alarm a few feet away from me and I hesitated only a few seconds.

“Fucking scumbag!” Scott roared, hitting Brandon square in the jaw.

A crunching noise filled the silent hallways as Brandon stumbled onto his knees, spitting blood out of his mouth as he struggled to get back his footing. But Scott wasn’t done. Taking advantage of the fact that he was down, Scott lifted up his leg and kicked him hard in the chest.

I covered my mouth with my hands to stop myself from screaming as I saw Brandon go down hard, as even more blood gushed out of his mouth. He had fallen face down onto the floor and when I saw Scott getting ready for yet another blow…I knew I had to do something.

Turning back, I ran to the fire alarm without a second thought and pressed down on the button.
