Helen’s car was so light and smooth on the road that it felt as though we were flying not driving. It’s amazing what money can do in this world of ours. The security men at the gate didn’t even stop us as I drove up to the gate, they merely raised their hands in greeting to Helen who smiled at them as we drove past. I made a comment about this to her and she laughed and shrugged.

“As that saying goes, everyone has a price.” She placed her hand on her chin and thought for a minute. “Actually I think that saying is rather cruel because Jack and Rick, the security men, probably have families to take care of so when I offered them the money as a bribe to let us out they accepted because they would do anything for their families.”
