Chapter Twenty Eight

Phoebe didn't bother to show up for work the next day, which was beyond selfish of her. I was forced to tend to all of the customers, which was her role as well as putting those stupid bouquets together.

She took the day off knowing very well that I was horrible at putting bouquets together and there was no one to fill her shift. It took me ten minutes to put together a bouquet that would have naturally taken Phoebe less than a minute. I tried my hardest not to destroy the stupid fragile flowers while putting the first bouquet together. While I succeeded, the bouquet looked as if, it was put together by a three-year-old or perhaps a newborn.

As the hours went by my frustration only grew worse, which was no surprise. I kept muttering under my breath bitterly as I worked and people kept staring at me rudely as if I'd gone psychotic.
