Chapter 59

Miguel's P.O.V

"I'm going to resign," I said as soon as I entered Daddy's office.

When I arrived here in Manila, I immediately went to Daddy's office. I feel so much anger, but I have to respect him because he is still my father. I'm studying, and I know Mama won't like it if I don't respect Daddy.

When I saw his face and everything that was said flashed back to me, he did what he cursed. My ears were hot as if I wanted to slap him, but I couldn't. I'm still holding myself back.

"Where did you come from?" he asked me without even understanding what I was saying.

I didn't answer him and just turned my back. Whether or not he accepts my resignation letter is still meaningless. I decided to leave and not see him.

I looked at him because he threw a stone at the door I was about to touch. I didn't speak, so I stayed silent.
