The night before the wedding, after the rehearsal dinner, I was laying in my bed and wondering what my life would have been like if my parents had never walked in on Harrison and me at the lake house that one day.

We had been laying in bed together, naked, post-lovemaking, doing a little pillow talk.

“I think you’re my person,” he whispered to me with a sweet smile on his lips.

“I think so too,” I had responded with a chuckle.

We made love, and each tried our hand at cooking in the small kitchen, and both of us failed. We ended up surviving the rest of our time in the lake house on burnt toast and water. It wasn’t a lot, but it was enough.
