Chapter 63

Josie POV

I had no idea what to wear. Everything I had was jeans, tank tops and leather jackets. I felt like this date I should try to be a little different. Not that Sam would care one way or the other. I understood he likes me just the way I am. Sounds corny but it means the world to me. Nobody has ever cared about me and now I have two people who care. Sam and Jenna.

Jenna was a surprise. I admit I still had my days of bitterness that she had our mother, and I did not. But then I would remind myself of the circumstances that surrounded my mother giving birth to Eric and me. In her shoes, I suspect I would have felt the same and wanted nothing to do with the offspring of that monster, my father.

Deciding to ask Jenna for some help, I stop by her office and knock on the door. She calls me to come in and I walk in to see her and Sarah sitting there talking. Both quietened down when I walked in. “I am sorry, I will come back later,”
