Never Again š· āI wish it could be so that God would grant my pleaā¦ In your place, love, death would take me.ā ~ā¢~ R O S E C L I N T O Nā¢ "Sometimes I don't understand this guy!" Spitting in frustration under my breath, I saw one more taxi passing my side. Standing in the middle of the road, I waited for a damn taxi. But, thanks much to my luck, it won't stop even if it was empty. Absent-mindedly, my hands wrapped around myself as the cool wind whizzed past me, sending a shiver in my body. I didn't have any clue that it was going to be this chilly tonight. If I knew, I would have carried an overcoat with me. Since I was going to the party- for which Aiden said a clear no!- but did I listen to him? No! Of course not, I would not agree to whatever he said, unless he explained the reason. Wearing a simple light green dress, with white flowers on it, I knew the dress was a bit favourable to wear on sunny days, but as Issac said I look pretty, I wore it, how could I deny my
"I…" my voice trailed as I pulled him into a hug to which he circled his hands around my neck, "Yes, I'll be there." I said, rubbing his back.Pulling away, he kissed my cheek, as I said holding his hands, "But, you'll not run like this, okay?"Nodding happily, he said, "Okay."With that I ruffled his hair and stood up at my place, and Alexander went towards Xavier. Before Aiden could say something to me, he got interrupted by a call as he excused himself and went to attend the call. While I looked at father-son's bonding, Katherine pulled me towards an empty table, "How are you?" She asked.Although a smile lingered on my lips, a frown accompanied it, "I'm good, why do you ask?" I asked."It's been years and-" Katherine stopped midway as she realised something."Years?" I pressed, my smile disappeared as a look of confusion took c
Never Againš· āTo live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.ā ~ā¢~ ā¢X A V I E R K N I G H Tā¢ There she was, the love of my life, my wife. She looked so simple, yet so beautiful. I couldn't take my eyes off of her as she walked in wearing the green dress. Amazement was so obvious in her honey browns, the moment my eyes landed her hand intertwined with Aiden, my jaw clenched. I balled my empty hands in fists to prevent myself from ripping his hands off her but when she slipped away from his hold, my fists loosened. Sitting on the stool, I saw her confused features while interacting with Katherine. Pouring myself a glass of whiskey, I sipped on it while just admiring her, my Rose. Even if she doesn't remember anything about her past, she still had the very name I used. For the last five years, I haven't seen her, not even a single glance at her photo that had been placed upside down on my desk. I felt someone's hard gaze and I found Aiden glaring at me. Followi
Never Again š· āParting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.ā ~ā¢~ A heavy feeling settled in Xavier's stomach as his body went extra stiff and rigid. A sudden coldness dreaded in his being when Evelyn said with a horror stricken face, "Kids! They are in hospital!" Aiden's eyes widened in alarm as he held her arm in a firm grip, "Let's go." And started dragging her towards the elevator. His feets were glued to the surface and wasn't able to make any movement. What did she mean by kids? Whose kids? Are they hers and Aiden'sā¦? No-no, no, NO! Meanwhile, "I'm sorry, it's an emergency. I'll make it up to you later, we better leave." Aiden said in a hurry to Mason and Katherine. "Rubbish we're coming along, let's go," declared Mason, turning his head, "Marcus!-" Before Mason could finish, Marcus came with his car-keys, saying, "Let's go." It was hard for Evelyn to grasp any voice as she herself reached the elevator and pressed the button, not waiting
Never Again š· X A V I E Rā¢ After the doctor checked my blood pressure, he went to see the status of my daughter. When I declared the relation of being the father to the kids, Evelyn's hard eyes weren't easy to ignore. They had questions, numerous questions in those dark browns. She looked like she was going to explode and burn me alive. Although, she did utter a single word, asking, "Why?" It wasn't just a word, it was the whole train of questions. I knew she wouldn't back down until I answered the question, so to my stupidity, I said, "It wouldn't take much time now considering the donor is her father." I very well knew it was a stupid reason, but I had to give one. Descending down the corridor, I made my way toward the room that the doctor had asked me to come to. I halted in front of OT-07, the room allotted to my daughter, my heart was racing at another level and I did not want to break down here. "I know," someone said beside me that broke the train of my thoughts. Te
Never Again š· I moved my eyes to see Mason and Marcus, but they weren't there, "They went to fulfill the requirements." Answered Evelyn for me. She walked out of the room as I trailed behind her, once we were in a quiet isolated zone, seeing the rise of the sun. No words were exchanged and it was uncomfortable, I looked at her through my peripheral vision, my brows drawn together slowly as I gazed upon her pretty face. Even with the light scar on her forehead she still looked as beautiful as the day I saw her walking down the aisle. "I'm going to ask you something and please be truthful." She said, turning her body towards me to which I nodded. "Have we met before?" "Yes, we have." I answered absent-mindedly and mentally cussed myself, "At your office." "Before the office I mean." She cleared. "Not that I remember of, why did you ask?" I questioned. Stop it, Xavier. She knows you're lying. "You eyes," looking into my eyes, her gaze was like she was finding something in my
Never Again š· ā¢EVELYN / ROSEā¢ That was probably the longest drive of my life, in these twenty-four hours my life had turned upside down. First my kids got hospitalized and my daughter's condition was critical when a guy with eyes familiar to my kids, declared his claim on my kids. He thought I was a fool or he was mistaken that I was weak. I could be anything but that, in these five years I've learned to cope with my unknown past, I know how to connect dots. And after connecting everything that happened in these past few weeks after Mr. Knight entered my life, it led to a conclusion. Xavier Knight is indeed related to my past, but to what extent, I didn't know until tonight. How could I be so foolish to not acknowledge the feelings, his look, that unknown connection to his son and the familiarity between my kids and him. I knew, I was afraid to voice out the truth, but somewhere back in my mind, I know who he is to my kids. But, for now I don't know what he is to me. Ther
Never Again š· E V E L Y Nā¢ I was being dragged, again. The bulky man held my forearm really tight and continued tracking me out of the cell and through the narrow passage I was pretty sure my blood circulation had stopped by now. "Rose!" Alex screamed when a man slapped him hard on the face. It made my blood at another level. "Leave him the fuck alone out of this!" I yelled to the top of my voice as I pushed my nails in the wrist of my captor. The man dragging me, pushed open the metal door before we entered. He shoved me, not so gently on a wooden chair and tied my arms and legs, they did the same with Alex and he was crying uncontrollably. It made my heart break again and again. Screaming in my head, 'Where the fuck are you Blake?!' Trying to wriggle out of the ropes. I tried hard but all the energy was drained from my body. I didn't have the energy to lift my finger, I just threw my head back and closed my eyes tightly. Looking sideways, "Alex," I called him as he looke
