**Elora's POV**I started laughing, refusing to believe him, "I'm sure you're joking." I said."I'm not joking, I'm being serious." Damon replied, his eyes holding mine."You're just saying that to make me feel better." I scoffed rolling my eyes, I know how much he cares for me, but telling me this now to make me feel less angry with Elder Blake was not working."I'm being serious." he answered immediately, I gaped at him, trying to gauge from his expression if he was lying or telling the truth."It's really not a lie." He came closer to me, whispering."Why are you whispering?" I asked him.He shook his head coming closer to me, "I can't shout it out, the walls have ears." He whispered."And what I'm saying is true, there's a spy here and that's why I'm not screaming about it."I stared at him for a little while, still hesitant to believe him. I remembered how I checked for the seal and I saw nothing, it felt like it was a lie.I could feel his eyes on me and I refused to look at him.
**Author's POV**Elora called for a meeting with the whole pack, she wanted to make sure her plan worked immediately. The room was filled after ten minutes, everyone sat in their chairs and waited for Elora to speak. "Bring him in." Elora said firmly to the guards who stood at the entrance waiting for her command. There was a loud gasp in the room as Elder Blake was brought in by the guards. He was made to stand in the middle with Elora, he looked at her with eyes wide open, his eyes narrowing a little, Elora's expression was stern as she stared back at him."I called for a meeting because of Elder Blake." Elora announced, the room became noisy as other elders began wondering what Elder Blake did to be brought in as a criminal.Whispers of 'what happened' were heard in the crowd of elders and Blake himself was beginning to sweat under his gaze from Elora's cold stare.Elora spoke once again, "You've done something wrong Elder Blake, you already know why I brought you here, I wanted th
**Author's POV**"Keep up the good work, and make sure you report to me frequently." Dexter eyed the informant like a wolf eyeing a stray cat. This wasn't a time to slack off. He knew he needed to be at alert for Elora's sake. He wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her. His tone was as calm and cool as if he were giving out orders to another soldier, not a mere person who gave him information. At this rate, he knew he had to tread with caution. The spy's mouth quivered as she stared at him, she has always been scared of him,but this was making her terrified."I won't fail you." She replied, her eyes staring anywhere but his eyes."Good." he replied as he watched her walk out immediately. As soon as the door closed behind her he turned around towards his desk, grabbing an empty bottle that sat in front of him and downed it.Dexter began pacing the room, his thoughts running wild. His hands went to the sides of his hair, ruffling it slightly before taking both of them into fists."W
**Author's POV**Damon knocked the door to Elora's room, a smile on his face, though his mind was clouded with what was going on around them. The door opened and Elora stood in the doorway dressed like she had been just woken up from bed. Her eyes were sleepy, her hair tousled into a mess that made her look even younger than usual. She smiled sleepily at him and said "Come in." Her voice sounded hoarse, but she sounded happy nonetheless. As Damon stepped inside, his worries stopped for a little while, "Yes, Damon what is it?" Elora asked, her voice and smile playful."I came to report something to you." Damon replied, his eyes getting a little dim as she opened the door looking around again."The pack is in turmoil, and right now, I've tried to make them less sad, though some of them are restless." Damon sighed, trying not to get upset again himself."And I've tightened the security in the pack, I've made the guards stand guard everywhere." He added, he didn't really want anyone but
**Elora's POV**My eyes still narrowing and glaring daggers at her, I watched her, waiting for what she had to say, it seemed like she wanted to say something but couldn't.My suspicions grew by the second, and my anger rose along with them. I waited for Martha to say something."Hello Luna, the maid in charge of serving in the dungeon is ill, and I was asked to serve in her place." Martha said immediately, I watched her stare at her ground nervously refusing to meet my eyes.I scoffed almost laughing as she sounded so stupid and so unbelievable with her claims.Damon's distrust of her and her sudden skittish actions right now made me confirm how suspicious she is.My personal maids served me alone, it was funny seeing her lie about taking anyone's place.I looked at her again, "Why would you want to take someone else's place?" I asked her."Is that the rules?" I asked. She looked up, surprised that I was talking to her and then she realized that my eyes were trained on her. I could pra
**Elora's POV**I moaned when he trailed kisses down my collarbone, my skin tingling from both his breath and the electricity of his touch. My legs tangled with his own, but he wasn't done yet…not until I gave him every satisfaction in me that he wanted to taste. His hands found the zipper on my skirt and he began pushing it up, my hips rocking into his hard as he pressed a trail of wet kisses against my stomach.I gripped at his shoulders with one hand while stroking at the hair above his head with the other. My fingernails dug into his scalp lightly while his mouth latched onto my hip bone. “Damon…” I said breathlessly, arching my back when he bit gently just below my navel. He chuckled in response before continuing the assault on my thigh.I let out an undignified squeal when his fingers dipped inside of me, my body arching off the bed and onto mine while I wrapped my leg around him and pulled him even closer. He grunted in response, his eyes flashing with desire and lust. His tee
Author's POV.Damon rushed out of the bathroom with Elora who fainted in his arms, he placed her gently on the bed, he checked her pulse, his heart pounding in fear."Elora, can you hear me, please say something." He urged, he stood up mindlessly walking around the house as he mind linked the pack's doctor immediately."Come to the Luna's room immediately." He blocked the mind link after. The door opened and the doctor rushed in, "What happened to the Luna?" "She fainted." Damon replied. The doctor checked Elora, checking her temperature. "How long has she fainted?" he asked.Damon checked the wall clock, "a few minutes.""She just fainted due to shock, she'll wake up in the morning." He said, Damon sighed in relief as he watched the doctor walk out.Damon sat on the bed, shifting Elora close to him, he began brushing her hair, stroking her cheek. Her skin was warm, it wasn't a fever, but that didn’t mean anything. It scared him to see her that way, it made him worry even more that sh
Damon's POV.I paced the room, the panic I felt really evident, as I tried to calm down my rapid heartbeat. It had been almost five minutes since the doctor confirmed that Elora is indeed poisoned, the image of her vomiting blood nonstop running through my head, over and over again. My hands shook, as I gripped them behind my back. My heart ached at the sight of her so pale, lying on the bed, the shock also evident on her face."What can be done to remove the poison from her system?"I managed to find my voice after a while. I was still shocked at how she got poisoned in the first place."Is there an antidote?" I added, my heart was filled with so much worry, it made my head spin."I have to go and identify the poison, and know how it got to her body, to know the antidote to give her." The doctor replied."How the heck did this poison even get into her system?" I groaned, gripping my hair out of frustration. My hands began to shake once more as I thought about what could have gone wrong
