Chapter 66

Faith and Devlin stood side by side, waiting. While Devlin stood perfectly still, unmoved and unmoving, Faith was a ball of nerves.

She was fidgeting, counting and recounting things off her fingers, pulling at her clothes, fixing his over and over and over again.

"Stop fidgeting," Devlin said, softly prying her hands off his shirt which she was fixing for the seventh time.

"I can't help it!"

"Everything is going to be fine. Just relax."

"What if I forgot something important?"

"Then we'll sort it out later. The way you're acting one would think it was the Queen of England coming to visit and not your mom." He laughed.

"My mom is the Queen of our family," she retorted with a laugh.
