Chapter Ninety-Eight

James finally drove and stopped at Jake's neighbourhood to drop Jake off. It was obvious that no one was happy about what had happened and none of us spoke at all till we got to the destination.

"So, Jake, just take care of yourself, no matter what happens don't let Lincoln get to you," I said then Jake nodded his head.

"Sure, Veronica, that's what I would do, no need to worry about that," I said and then he finally alighted from the car.

"See you, Veronica," He said and I replied. "See you, Jake," I said. "Bye, James," He said facing James who smiled to return the greeting to him.

"Ooh goodbye mister Jake," He said as he smiled. "Whatever happens boss, you mustn't feel down," James advised as he drove off from the venue towards my house.

"Of course, I am not going to feel down at all, I have a belief that at the end of the day, we would win against him and he wouldn't win against us, that no matter what happens, we would be able to find a way to nail him
