Chapter Seventy-Eight

Michael knew that there was nothing more he could do at the moment but to resolve to leave.

He knew how that if he persisted, he could get arrested and knew that he had to do something about the situation quickly.

"My lord," He said as he rose to face Samson who wasn't showing any interest in even taking a good look at him as he wrote on the paper he was writing.

He finally exited wondering how he would sort out the big issue and tell his boss that he failed to convince to bribe Samson.

He knew how furious Lincoln was going to react when he hears this.

He knew that despite all of this, he was still lucky that Samson didn't threaten to arrest him at the moment. what he did and only warned him not to try what he did.

He finally exited Samson's chambers wondering what he would tell Lincoln...
