"But that would be absurd, wouldn't it? You both are supposed to march into the Hall and not just emerge from one of its changing rooms. Why don't we rather go to an eatery or bar or something and have ourselves relax there until it's time?" Alfred objected, to the delight and relief of Gabby.

"Fine." Leone conceded.

She couldn't bear to think of spending more than thirty minutes in a closed space with this man. She had escaped this one. But what about tonight? The wedding night?

"Yeah sure. We'll be waiting outside, by the car." Josey said pulling Gabby by the arm out of the Hall.

"Why did you do that?" Leone whispered.

"Do what? And why the hell are you whispering? They're gone already." Alfred said the last sentence with a chuckle.

"Why did you object to what I said?"

"The lady is already very uncomfortable around you. Give her some time to be free with you before trying to... you know?" Alfred said with a wink.
