35-Pawn In The Game

The man who tortured me that day without any solid reason is now grovelling at my feet, his face unrecognisable.

“Please, forgive me, ma'am.” The man pleads with an agony-filled voice.

Seeing him in such a situation makes me shudder. If it weren't for the size of body and his voice, I wouldn't even recognise him. When he looks up to me, I can't help gasping. His eyes are swollen, there are big bags under his eyes. His lips are busted, dried blood coating his lips. Both of his hands are in casts. Even looking at him makes me wince. What am I supposed to do in this situation?

“Please forgive me for raising my filthy hands on you, ma'am.” He pleads again, tears cascading down his cheeks.

“You asked if he were alive.” Elliot begins to speak, “Now, the decision is in your hand. Do you want to forgive him or do you want my men to deal with him differently?” There's no mercy in his tone. Without any doubt, he will kill the man without batting an eye.
