Chapter Twenty-six

“ What da! Why would I even look at him? He’s not even Handsome” She sat down on the bed. Suddenly, a knock came on the door and Derek entered with the shopping bags.

“ Take them out” Vanessa said and he dropped them beside her. “ It’s for you and Mara” He said and left the room. “ Did we tell him we need something?” She kicked the bag with her leg and something fell out from one of the bags.

“ what’s this?” Vanessa picked up a mini gift box from the floor , She opened the lid and Chuckled. “ A candy bear? Childish” She put it back inside the Bag and lay down on the bed. “ it’s time for him to leave, there’s something I want to do” She stood up from the bed and as she was about to open the door, Mara opened it. “ Mummy” She said smiling. “ What?” Vanessa asked “ Daddy has left” she said happily.
