Chapter 40: Ghost Stories
Ares hadn’t missed the way Magda had scowled at him when he had left her alone with his mom but he knew there was nobody he trusted more than his mama to make his girl feel special. Coming back into the room to see them thick as thieves laughing at his expense made his chest ache in the most wonderful way.
