62: necessary conversation

"I should start leaving now," Elanne told Aria, still retaining her low, harsh tone.

"Wait-"

"How are you doing Aria?" Robert asked, calmly, settling on to the soap. He stared at Elanne. "Oh hi."

"Afternoon," she stood up, clutching her bag while she was making her way towards the door, Aria held on her hands. "Please don't go yet."

"Sorry gotta go." She waved an apologetic small smile. "Let me know how it goes."

Aria thinned her lips and nodded. Elanne walked out the door. Then Aria's attention diverted to Robert.

"You didn't answer my question." Robert told her.

She scratched her hair. "What was it?"

"I said how are you doing?" He repeated and Aria took his outfit. This was one of the few times where he was dressed casually.

"I'm good," she voiced out an answer that was far from the truth.

"Doesn't seem like it but okay." She hated how he was always able to tell when she was lying...it made lying feel like a waste to her.

"I'm fine." She said again, trying to convince him.

"I agree.
