He looked away and took a deep breath. Here comes the storm.
But when she sat down across him, he was stunned to see her smiling. Uh, what just happened?
Her moment of anger was just that. A moment. She doesn’t like the thought and possibility that he would have an affair. But right now, she can see he’s focused on her. She’ll have to make sure he doesn’t get a chance to meet flirtatious women. He’s home early, as usual. He still goes on his occasional business trips. Once or twice a month, he attends a social event of some sort, meeting other business-minded people.
She propped her chin on one hand while staring at him. The only opportunity he has to be with someone else would be those business trips or social events. Seeing her pursed her lips, his expression changed to one of inquiry.
“What are you thinking? Why do I feel like you’re seeing me as a bastard in your head?”
