Chapter 5

    Deadly silence formed in Hudson Mansion, Everyone is in shock seeing sweet Christy in lioness mode, till now they knew her as active, naughty and even stubborn. Even Hudson’s unable to believe what they saw just now. 

"Avni, what is this? Is this the way to behave with elders? Say sorry to her now" ordered Elizabeth, coming out of shock.

"Grandmother, This aunty said bad things about mummy. Why should I say sorry to her? She needs to say sorry to my mom." Christy defended herself.

"Christy, These things are related to elders, you shouldn't come in between all this. Now say sorry to aunty" Juliana tried to convince her.

"No aunty, I didn't make any mistake to say sorry," Avni said.

    Seeing things going out of hand Amelia intervened

"Christy, Say sorry to aunty and go to your room" Amelia told rather strictly. Avni looked at Amelia for sometime before saying sorry to that wicked lady and ran upstairs to her room.

    This is another shock as Christy obeys Amelia without a single word, As far they know Christy is stubborn. Christian who witnessed everything fell into deep thoughts about his newly wedded wife and daughter bonding. 

     After apologizing to the guests again, Amelia went to Christy's room. Amelia saw Christy on bed and her beautiful chocolate brown eyes filled with water. She reached Christy and sat in front of her. But Christy is angry at her mother, so she turns her face to the other side making Amelia chuckle at her cuteness.

"Is someone angry with her mom?" Amelia spoke.

"Yes, she made me say sorry without my mistake," Christy said, still not looking at Amelia.

 "Is it? then she must be a bad lady." Amelia made a sad face and this made Avni turn towards Amelia's side.

"Noo, she is not bad." Christy defended her mummy.

"Did you feel when I referred to your mother as a bad lady?" Amelia questioned Christy.

"Yes, I will feel soo bad if anyone speaks bad about my mummy," Christy said sadly.

"In the same way I will also feel bad if anyone speaks bad about Christy. I will become sad if anyone tells, Christy doesn't know how to behave with elders, she is not a good girl. Even though that aunty made a mistake, the way you reacted is not good Chris. Anger is not good for you. You should have told to elders, we would have talked with her." Amelia explained to her patiently.

    Christy thought for some time about what her mummy told. She understood her mummy is right.

"I am sorry mummy. I won't repeat this again" Christy said, Touching her ears in an apologetic manner.

"I want everyone to say Christy is a good girl," Amelia said, removing Christy's hands from ears.

"Sure mummy, I will make you and daddy prr…pro…proud" Avni told after a lot of efforts which made Amelia laugh. 

"Thank you baby, come let's fresh up and change. These clothes are very heavy" Amelia said, taking Christy to the washroom for a bath.

    Other side Christian is in deep thoughts about the Amelia-Christy bond. It's just a day but they became inseparable. What if Amelia hurts Christy or uses Christy to get money from Christian? He needs to warn Amelia to stay away from his daughter. He thought of speaking with her tonight. 

Dinner Time:-

    Everyone assembled at the dining table. As usual Christy is sitting on table while Amelia is sitting in the opposite chair feeding Christy. A peaceful silence spread across.

"Christian, NK sent gifts for you and Amelia on the occasion of your marriage. He apologized for missing your marriage." Donna told, breaking silence.

"I am so glad that he didn't come" Christian muttered to himself but Amelia and Christy heard it as they were sitting just beside him. Christy chuckled knowing why her father told that while Amelia is confused.

"He so wanted to meet Amelia but he is stuck at work. Why can't you both go to Australia for your honeymoon?" mami questioned again.

"Yes, it's a great idea. Why don't you two go on honeymoon?" Julianai said, others supported by nodding their heads.

"What is a honeymoon?" Our question bank Christy entered.

    Everyone started looking here and there, not knowing how to explain the honeymoon to a 7 year old kid.

"Yes mummy, What is a honeymoon? I heard you and daddy talking about going on a second honeymoon" asked ever so shy Daniel, making his parents embarrassed and Christian chuckle.

"Will they go to the moon with honey?" Asked Christy.

"But why do they take honey to the moon?" Daniel questioned.

"Kids, newly married couples will go on their honeymoon to get to know each other better." Elizabeth replied not wanting to extend this conversation more.

"But they already know each other right?" Christy questioned again.

"Yes, mom and dad are married right?" Daniel raised his point.

"Chris & Daniel, what is your favorite park?" Asked Amelia, trying to change the topic.

"XYZ park" Both answered at a time and started talking about the park animatedly. Everyone mentally thanked Amelia for diverting their attention and scolded Donna for bringing this topic.

     Rest of the dinner was completed peacefully. After that Amelia took Christy to her room. They both slept on bed, Amelia started telling story to Christy. Soon sleep engulfs both of them as they are tired with the day's events.

    Christian came to Christy's room after changing into his night clothes. It's his habit to tell bedtime stories for Christy and make her sleep. He entered her room to see Christy sleeping peacefully in Amelia's arms. This is the first time she slept without him. To say he felt jealous.

    Today is the first day, Christy didn't demand Christian presence much. Her every day starts and ends with him. His brain told him Amelia is the reason behind Christy ignoring him. But his heart is telling Amelia is the reason for the smile on avni's face. Will Christen Hudson listen to his heart?

    Christian kissed Christy's hair and went to his room. He mentally noted again to warn Amelia to stay away from Christy. He started working on his laptop and later he slept.

    Next day morning Amelia woke up and saw Christy sleeping on her stomach, While a small smile was playing on her lips. She grips Amelia's dress tightly as if she leaves grip, Amelia will disappear. Amelia kissed Christy's forehead and went to Christian room. 

    When Amelia entered, she saw a similar scene, Christian sleeping on his stomach. He looks the same as Christy, He is looking like a child. She scolded herself remembering how he was treating her. 

      Everyone was busy with their work, and soon evening came. Christy demanded Amelia to take her to the park. Amelia went down to inform her family but the maid, as no one was present at home.

      Amelia and Christy spent quality time in the park. It's almost 6:30 PM

"Chris, everyone must be home by now. Come let's go" Amelia told Christy.

"Ok mummy. Lets go" Christy agreed and they started walking holding hands. Park is just two streets away from home. Christy saw an ice-cream vendor on the road. She untangled her hand from Amelia's and started running towards the ice-cream vendor.

"Mummy, I'm going to get ice.." Before she completes her sentence, Christy's leg slipped and she fell down on the road hurting her knee. Blood started oozing from her right knee. A panicked Amelia reached Christy and started consoling her, wiping her blood. 

     Amelia picked Christy and started walking home. Whole family is sitting in the living room except Christian who is still in office, though all got panicked seeing blood on Christy's leg but relaxed as it is a small wound. They are afraid of Christian reaction, they know he won't take this thing lightly as it is related to his darling daughter. 

     Amelia bandaged Christy's knee and started telling sweet nothings to her which made Christy sleep. Amelia went to Christian room to freshen up.

     Christian reached home by 7:30 PM, as no one was there in the living hall he directly went to the Christy room to check on her. He saw Christy sleeping, it is very unusual to see Christy sleeping at this hour. He went near her and saw tear marks on her face, he removed the blanket on her. His eyes fell on the bandage tied around her knee, his eyes became wet seeing blood on the bandage. Soon tears were replaced by rage, If Christy got hurt why no one informed him. He went directly to Juliana's room.

"Sister, how did Christy get hurt? Why did no one inform me?" Christian questioned entering Juliana's room. 

"Chistian, Actually.... she got hurt while coming back from the park" Juliana replied nervously.

"Who took her to the park without informing me?" Christian questioned again. Juliana can see he is controlling himself to not to lash out. She stood silently without answering.

"Answer me sis, who took her to the park?" Christian asked impatiently, he has a fair guess who took Christy to park but he needs to confirm it. 

"Amelia," Anjali replied stammering.

     Christian turned around and started walking without listening to Juliana, he knew it. No one from his family dared to take Christy outside without his permission.
