Chapter Twenty-Two

Anger simmered through Valerie and he landed a slap against his face. David chuckled, running his hand through his hair.

"You are a bastard"

"What are you doing here then? You should leave. Maybe I should listen to her and forget about you so you can be with your Lucio or whatever man you want to be with, besides, that's what Lucio wanted all along"

Valerie pushed him, she landed another slap on his face. "Get out!"

"You are out of your mind, this is my house. You should leave if you don't want to stay"

David steps aside waiting for her to leave but she doesn't make a move. He tried to walk away when she quickly held his arms. Valerie kissed him and he pushed her back, staring into her eyes. He couldn't resist this woman no matter how many times he has tried to forget about her.

He gently wraps his hand around her neck and captures her lips once again. Valerie tries to fling her arms around his neck but he holds her arms, pinning it against the wall.
