CHAPTER 21 A Girl Named Lucy

  Sophia paused for a moment before she finally replied to the other party with a simple yes.

  "Then let's meet at the old place, I'll wait for you!" The other party replied quickly this time, and excitement was obvious in their voice.

  Sophia hung up the call without another reply, then she put away the phone and stood up.

  "Are you going out?" Seeing Sophia stand up, Gerald's eyes lit up with hope.

  "Have you finished processing the documents?" Sophia gave him a cold look.

  "No." Gerald lowered his voice a bit.

  "Then why are you asking me questions?" The coldness in Sophia's eyes deepened.

  "I'm sorry, I will stay in the company and finish it up," Gerald responded with a tired voice. With a serious face, he began to look through the documents in front of him. He looked exactly like a wild wolf cub tamed into a domestic dog.
