Chapter Twenty-three: Her Lies

Jian’s POV

“How do I look?” Rosie asked, giving me a little twirl. She was dressed in a simple floral print sundress with spaghetti strap, and a slit that ran up to her mid-thighs. Her hair was flowing down her back, and the smile on her face made her look so beautiful that for a minute, I was short of words.

“Stunning,” I blurted out, still staring at her. She giggled and twirled again.

“Falling in love, Mr. Zhang?” she wiggled her brows at me, and a smile tilted my lips. I couldn’t recall ever seeing her this happy, but I loved it. It was refreshing to meet the bubbly woman hidden behind all of her thick walls. I knew it had everything to do with my decision to let her go in three months' time, and I was glad I’d been able to make her happy again.

I caught this after reading the half-sister's story. How often do you update? I normally read only completed stories but this caught my interest.
